Invite Movement + Flow to your Lymph
2 oz . 58 ml
The lymphatic system is the largest circulatory system in the body and yet it has no pump. It absorbs and moves up to 3 litres of fluid from the interstitial tissue per day, it flushes toxins from the body and transports fats where they need to go. Without the lymph, we would survive only moments, and yet, when do we give it love?
We can increase lymph flow and function by moving our bodies, staying hydrated, utilizing saunas, foot baths, cold plunges and by gentle massage. We can also use herbs that love to help move the lymph including cleavers, burdock, calendula and clover.
Our Breast + Lymph Oil is infused with wonderful lymphatic supporting herbs and is a great excuse for a little massage. Combine with our Lymph Love Tincture for extra goodness.
Cleavers are an amazing lymph medicine, helping the juices flow appropriately and aiding in the movement of toxins out of the system as intended. It is used in relieving swollen + enlarged lymph glands and in the treatment of cancer, specifically of the lymphatic system. Cleavers are considered to be the best lymphatic tonic in the western herbal pharmacopeia. It is also thought to have blood-thinning properties, which may have a beneficial effect in reducing high blood pressure and platelet aggregation (blood clotting). This quality might also be very beneficial in the prevention of arteriosclerosis, strokes, and congestive heart failure.
Calendula is a skin healing herb but is also recognized for its ability to move lymph juices where needed and support the body in flushing toxins built up in the lymph.
Burdock Flower Essence is used to break apart stagnation and move deeply rooted toxins from the body. Interestingly, it's also used to address anger held in the body.
