Join me on Saturday, September 17th from 10am-12pm  for an introduction to canning. Loulella from Azure Highlands Homestead and I will be giving your a simple run down on several simple foods to can and how to can them. We'll me making preserves on site so come ready with an apron! 

I've been canning simply for several years, begining with jams and tomato sauce to pickles and chutney and have recently dived into pressure canning meats and bone broth. Louella has had a great deal more canning experience in her menonite community and brings a wealth of knowlege and alternative methods. This is going to be a fun and insightful workshop!

This is not a herbal workshop but one many of you have requested so I'm excited to offer it to you!

  • What foods are best canned
  • Canning safely
  • Adding herbs to your preserves
  • Making + canning jam
  • Making + canning salsa

This 2hr workshop is designed for all food + self reliant enthusiasts!  No prior knowledge or experience required. You will receive a printed version of our Simply Preserved key takeaways as well as our favourite recipes and resources. We are gathering to share and learn together. 

This workshop is located in our gardens, in Kimberley, Ontario. Limited to 10 people
