Healing from the trees

1oz / 30ml

Poplars, also known as Cottonwood trees have long been used in healing the skin and easing tension. The sticky resin from their bark and buds carries a strong aroma and has been harvested for perfumes along side topical treatments commonly known as Balm of Gilead.

"The ancient Sumerians and Egyptians used poplar medicine for relieving pain, fever and inflammation. In the middle ages Hippocrates, Galen, and Hildegard von Bingen—all great thinkers and writers contributing to what would eventually be modern medicine—also used this medicine as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain reliever)." ~ Seraphina Capranos
