Poplars, also known as Cottonwood trees have long been used in healing the skin and easing tension. The sticky resin from their bark and buds carries a strong aroma and has been harvested for perfumes along side topical treatments commonly known as Balm of Gilead.

Poplar Buds are warming and anti-inflammatory. They are also anti-microbial and skin healing and therefore used to treat wounds and skin conditions.
Actions: anti-inflammatory, analgesic/anodyne (relieves pain), febrifuge (reduces fever), antiseptic, antimicrobial, hepatic (supports the liver), vulnerary (wound healer).

Apply to minor wounds, aching joints and muscles or rashes as needed.
