Poplars, also known as Cottonwood trees, have long been used in healing the skin and easing tension. The sticky resin from the bark and buds carry a strong aroma and has been harvested for perfumes along side topical treatments commonly known as Balm of Gilead.

Poplar Buds are warming and anti-inflammatory. They are anti-microbial and therefore are used to treat a manner of wounds and skin conditions. It is hepatic (supports the liver) and febrifuge (reduces a fever).
